The cowboys and cowgirls cowered in the shed waiting for the storm to break. Myles and Johnny Sylvia fervently searched the BOM for any sign of reprieve from the hounding rain. Finally, an elated and guttural scream arouse from Myles Long “there’s blue sky coming”. The crowd dispersed as quick as an Indian on a Bison hunt. Then the games began…

Teams were announced and hushed excitement grew, how could Milky Bar and his twin, Wolf Creek be teamed up, “is it worked out on hair colour” exclaimed the Teacher. But the two cowboys showed the crowd how to cowboy up and together they took out the One Arm Bill Wilson Trophy for 2025.

The most improved shooter for the year was Wayward Rose, though she left the Juggler at home with an apparent bad back.

The overall winner for the day was jostled about like a preacher in a brothel and after a few adjustments and much dollar swapping, Junior Ned was declared the winner, banishing Jimmy the Kid to a place behind his excellent shooting cowgirl. Looks like Jimmy is washing up for the next week.

After a plethora of door prizes were dolled out by Buster Giggs, Wayward Rose and Minnie Ha Ha. The cowboys and cowgirls left the field of battle and returned home – the true winner for 2025 the sport of Single Action Shooting.
