The Last Frontier.    The Sheriff of Tinstone and Minnie Ha Ha Welcome you to the website of the Last Frontier Shooting Range Gunalda Queensland.

Howdy All, 
I would like to remind all members/shooters to please consult this website for closure days of the Last Frontier Shooting Range, after all it is your responsibility or only# 0408986253 for details. This will alleviate your problem of turning up and finding the Range Closed.
Attention : Please be advised that the Range will be closed the four day Easter long weekend, There will be no Shooting for those days.

 Please Note  will be  five competition stages next shoot.Shoot date 9am Anzac Day there will be the raising of the flag April 25th. 2021.

Sunday 22nd November,2020,The Last shoot for 2020. The One Armed Bill Wilson Memorial five stages compiled by the Teacher, very well done Teacher. The day was fine and fun was had by all,The two course meal was prepared by Minnie Ha Ha and her helpers Mr and Mrs Chisholm, we even had Christmas Pudding and custard, some choose to have Pavlova which was supplied the Teacher.
Everyone was a winner with prizes supplied by Buster and the Last Frontier Shooting Club. Costume contest was won by the new shooter The Major, congratulations on bringing back a dress code to the sport Overall male winner was Cowboy Troy top lady shooter was Minnie Ha Ha coming in at 12th place. The top couples were winners one armed bill 2002 Johnny Sylva and Faron West pictured with One Bills daughter Trish Ebert. Sunday 1st.November,2020. A day of distinction with five stages being shot, a nice fine day with a cool breeze set the scene, Cowboy Troy shot it clean coming in at second place, overall winner was Johnny Sylva. October 25th. Another fantastic day was had by all including the new shooters Dave and Steve. We shot Five stages produced by the Teacher and Lakota, thankyou to both of them. We were in the shed, scores had been read out and we experienced the first lot of rain for the day. guess we were lucky. Philin took out top honors. the Saturday afternoon rifle shoot was won by Minnie Ha Ha .The scores are here :match finaltt Main Match 10252020.pdf

October 4th. proved to be a wonderful day of shooting .Scenarios were a little tricky for some ,however the day was beautifully cool for the whole day. Johnny Silva took out top place with Bad Al Junior close on his heels, top lady was the Teacher. you will find the scores here match finaltt Main Match 10042020.pdf

 September 26th Rim fire metallic silhouette Saturday afternoon low velocity ammo only, proved to be very interesting with the Sheriff taking out top honors, Johnson ran a successful event. Should anyone wish to camp, camp fees were$10.00. September 27th.Numbers were disappointing due to all the effort that was put in to make for a successful The Doc Holliday Memorial Shoot over 6 Action packed stages, it was very pleasing to meet again after the "Shootout at Tinstone" in 1998, Maverick, Deslardo and Ugly. Overall winners were Johnny Silva and The Teacher with the most improved shooter being The Teacher. A special thankyou  to Captain Whiplash for providing the curry chicken and meat lunch served with rice, for those that didn't eat curry, Minnie Ha  Ha dished up lasagna and cold slaw. Dessert was provided by The Teacher it was a dish to kill for. Many thanks to my devoted helpers Faron West, Lakota, Teacher and Minnie Ha Ha. The Sheriff shot his first shoot since November 2019 and his serious illness, and was certainly worn out by the end of the day. match finaltt 09272020 - Copy.pdf Shame you couldn't make it.

The One Armed Bill Memorial Trophy Shoot was shot over Five stages on the 24th.November,2019. It is now 10 years since His passing.  Thank you to all of you that made the effort and came to shoot. November 11th 7.30pm 2009. It is with regret that I have to announce that our loyal member and inspiration to all shooters One Armed Bill Wilson aka Peter Lightbody passed away at 7.30pm today. His wife has asked that we inform all of his shooting friends. "Bill you showed us how it should be done...Thankyou."

News to Hand : Starting after the next shoot weather pending we will be shooting a round of 20 clay targets, cost to shoot a 20 target round, $10.00 ie. assuming that you have already paid your range fee. Visitors always Welcome just wear safety or sunglasses.

September 8th.2015 It is with regret that I have to announce the passing of Joan Daly aka Blue Star. Joan passed away in Maryborough Hospital on the above date. Our sincere condolences Gavin Daly aka Nebraska Dude and daughter Vivian.

September 27th.2014 at 1.55 pm. It is with regret that I have to announce that our loyal member Lester Moore aka Lester Allbeury passed away in the Gympie Nursing home. Lester has no relatives remaining. Lester loved to come of a Saturday and paint the targets in readiness for the Sunday shoots, this job gave him great pleasure as he always said "make it good Sheriff and I'll make it look good ." He kept the range clean, his pet hate was cigarette butts being dropped on the ground, and that's why you won't find any at The Last Frontier. Thankyou Lester for the sincere support that you have given us.
