Sixteen eager shooters took to the line at the annual Doc Holliday (aka Frank (Macca) Macdonald) memorial shoot on Sunday 26th September. The overall winner and the Mens’ Champion was awarded to Johnny Silva with the Ladies’ Champion taken out narrowly by Teacher. Shooters completed 6 stages with the first stage shot at the newly renovated Fort Nebraska.
A huge thank you to Minnie Ha Ha for preparing lunch at the completion of the shoot and to Buster, Minnie Ha Ha and the Sheriff for providing prizes for the lucky draw. Most Improved Shooter award was presented to Miles Long who finished 4th at the memorial shoot on Sunday. Our guest judge selected Swan (who looked remarkably like one of our regular shooters, Johnson) as the best dressed for the memorial shoot.
Thank you to all shooters who were able to attend the 2021 Doc Holliday Memorial Shoot.
There will be a working bee held on the 31st of October 2021 at The Last Frontier Shooting Range starting at 8.30am. There are many jobs that need to be attended to around the range. So we need as many members as possible to show up and put in some time to get the jobs done. As the saying goes, many hands make light work. There is a notice board in the club house that has a list of jobs written down on it. So if you are not sure what needs to be done, please consult the notice board.
Also there will be a free sausage sizzle provided for lunch for all participants of the working bee, and if anyone would like to have a bit of a shoot after the working bee and sausage sizzle is complete, then you are more than welcome to do so, but please keep in mind that usual range fees apply on the day.
