This was very informative but I wonder sometimes why the younger generations now in SASS try to reinvent the wheel as safety was and is always paramount. Today was a day with a difference all had a good time and the weather was superb. Check the results right here : Match Final Main Match 07032016.pdf

Shooting conditions were great once again, there was only one small shower to interrupt us today, but it didn't, Captain Whiplash continued from the Sheriff's Office, by the time he had finished shooting the rain was gone. I believe the Scenario " I like it this way" was the most popular, it is a shame you had to miss out. Congratulations goes to the overall winner today, Mungo. The shoot was uncomplicated and very enjoyable getting to use the larger caliber rifles once again. Sundance traveled all the way from the Gold Coast to be in the Lucky Door prize draw. Sorry Sundance there was nothing in the bin today you will just have to put up with being the overall winner. Here is the score board 01072012.pdf

Once again today's Cowboy Action was very enjoyable with the Gold Medal Award going to a first time shooter Plum Loco. The competition was to see who could do the Nevada Swing with the most swings over five shotgun shots. It was also great to see four new visiting shooter's today, they were here to see what Cowboy Action was all about, being extremely impressed they are now looking into joining the Club and we look forward to their participation.

Today we have clashed with the Black Powder Championships of Cowboy Action in Brisbane never the less there are many of us that don't shoot black and for those that fronted up at the Last Frontier today to test their skills certainly didn't go home disappointed. The five stages were framed from our previous shoot and still no one cleaned the match, seems everyone was put off by the glorious day. Don't forget nominations for Cowboy 09 are closing soon so mail yours back today. You can get it here. 09Nomination.pdf The pictures are of some of the characters you will meet on that weekend in September. Todays scores are here 26072009.pdf

5th July,2009.
MissKitty1.jpg (70506 bytes)A great day was had by all, it was only two degrees when the first shooter arrived, yes, quite a cool day made for some mighty fine shooting by the small attendance as most were away competing at the Gold Coast South East Queensland's annual two day shoot. The stages today were similar to those that we used to shoot back in the late nineties with just a little bit of thinking required, but very enjoyable. Thankyou to those that participated. You will find the scores at the pdf file. 05072009.pdf

Quite a cool day made for some mighty fine shooting by the small attendance as most were away competing at the Gold Coast South East Queensland's annual two day shoot.
Never the less a great day was had by all. Mortimer was the overall winner and those that attended couldn't believe the top weather conditions, no rain until the game had finished. There were certainly no losers in today's five stage event. Remember, get your nominations in for Cowboy 08, nominations are closing soon.

July 22nd 2007. Today's shoot was the lead up to the Black Powder Championships next weekend in Brisbane. The five stages were set simple and fast enough that if you made a few silly errors because of the simplicity in the set-up....WELLL..
Stage One was called "Buster's Revenge" shot left to right 3-4-3 and if you weren't here one needs to ask Buster the difference between .357s and 44mags. Things to do..Remember nominate before the 18th August to be in the lucky nominations prize draw for "Cowboy 07" to be held on 25th - 26th August,2007.
