Today
we had updates by those that attended the refresher RO courses held last weekend
in Gympie. This was very informative but I wonder sometimes why the younger
generations now in SASS try to reinvent the wheel as safety was and is always
paramount. Today was a day with a difference all had a good time and the weather
was superb. Check the results right here : Match Final Main Match 07032016.pdf

We
had excellent day of early spring weather today. Stages were designed by Teacher
and were most enjoyable, and of course most of us dropped our guard on
occasions. Well done Teacher and thankyou. Thankyou goes to Jack for his
servicing of the problem roller doors. Minnie Ha Ha provided us once again with
a special lunch which was delicious, thankyou. I trust that you can see yourself
free to come along next week the 2nd.August and enjoy what we have to offer at

Another great day for all shooters at today's Last Frontier events :
Improvement :Centrefire Silhouette shooters reported an 80% increase in
their scores today due to the very pleasant shooting conditions with the Cowboy
Action shooters saying similar, however the new running of bull target showed
how allusive it could be.

serious at getting into the cowboy spirit and dressing up today was the day for
you. Best costume went to Big Bang with her delightful outfit, I believe that
she made her outfit, congratulations Big Bang. Competition is hotting up with
Philin and Sundance Kid hot on the heels of Mungo our overall winner for

Shooting
conditions were great once again, there was only one small shower to interrupt
us today, but it didn't, Captain Whiplash continued from the Sheriff's Office,
by the time he had finished shooting the rain was gone. I believe the Scenario
" I like it this way" was the most popular, it is a shame you had to
miss out. Congratulations goes to the overall winner today, Mungo. Next Sunday

excellent day of Cowboy Action at the Last Frontier. For those of you that
were unable to make it, well, we are sorry that you missed out on some mighty
fine scenarios. Swampfox was here from the Big Smoke endeavouring to make Legend
Status and I report that he was just piped by our Home Town Legend Mortimer. To
become a legend at the Last Frontier one must take out three consecutive shoots
in a row. now for some reminders :

Today, what a
glorious day, now we now why we had the weather the way it was for the past
week. It's obvious to me that without that we would never appreciate the beauty
we had today, it was also pleasing to see the good roll up as well, thank
you.
The shoot was uncomplicated and very enjoyable getting to use the larger caliber
rifles once again. Sundance traveled all the way from the Gold Coast to be in
the Lucky Door prize draw. Sorry Sundance there was nothing in the bin today you

Once again today's Cowboy Action was very enjoyable with the Gold Medal Award
going to a first time shooter Plum Loco. The competition was to see who could do
the Nevada Swing with the most swings over five shotgun shots. It was also great
to see four new visiting shooter's today, they were here to see what Cowboy
Action was all about, being extremely impressed they are now looking into
joining the Club and we look forward to their participation.

Today we have clashed with the Black Powder Championships of Cowboy Action in
Brisbane never the less there are many of us that don't shoot black and for
those that fronted up at the Last Frontier today to test their skills certainly
didn't go home disappointed. The five stages were framed from our previous shoot
and still no one cleaned the match, seems everyone was put off by the glorious
day. Don't forget nominations for Cowboy 09 are closing soon so mail yours back
today. You can get it here. 09Nomination.pdf The

A great day was had by
all, it was only two degrees when the first shooter arrived, yes, quite a cool day made for some mighty fine shooting by the small attendance
as most were away competing at the Gold Coast South East Queensland's annual two
day shoot. The stages today were similar to those that we used to shoot back in
the late nineties with just a little bit of thinking required, but very
enjoyable. Thankyou to those that participated. You will find the scores at the
pdf file. 05072009.pdf

stages.
Todays five stages presented some fantastic shooting, the scenarios were simple
giving plenty of space for all that shot.

Quite a cool day made for some mighty fine shooting by the small attendance
as most were away competing at the Gold Coast South East Queensland's annual two
day shoot.
Never the less a great day was had by all. Mortimer was the overall winner and
those that attended couldn't believe the top weather conditions, no rain until
the game had finished. There were certainly no losers in today's five stage
event. Remember, get
your nominations in for Cowboy 08, nominations are closing soon.
July 22nd
2007. Today's shoot
was the lead up to the Black Powder Championships next weekend in Brisbane. The
five stages were set simple and fast enough that if you made a few silly errors
because of the simplicity in the set-up....WELLL..
Stage One was called "Buster's Revenge" shot left to right 3-4-3 and
if you weren't here one needs to ask Buster the difference between .357s and
44mags. Things to do..Remember
nominate before the 18th August to be in the lucky
nominations prize draw for "Cowboy 07" to be held on 25th - 26th
August,2007.
